About the Role:

The Corrugator Bander Operator on the 3rd shift plays a critical role in the manufacturing process of non-durable goods by ensuring the efficient operation of the corrugator banding machinery. This position is responsible for maintaining consistent production flow, applying bands to corrugated products accurately, and meeting quality standards to support overall plant productivity. The operator will monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to maintain a safe working environment and produce defect-free products. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to meeting production targets and delivering high-quality packaging materials to customers on schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating industrial machinery, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work the 3rd shift schedule reliably.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience specifically with corrugator bander or similar packaging machinery.
  • Familiarity with non-durable goods manufacturing processes.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Certification in industrial equipment operation or maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor the corrugator bander machine during the 3rd shift to ensure continuous production.
  • Inspect products for proper band placement and quality, making adjustments as necessary to meet specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the banding equipment to prevent malfunctions and extend machine life.
  • Identify and report mechanical issues promptly to maintenance personnel to reduce downtime.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Document production data and machine performance accurately for shift reports.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and improve operational efficiency.
