Position Overview
A Wet Hose Driver is responsible for delivering short loads of petroleum products to customer locations in a safe, efficient manner, and within a specified window of time, at the direction of dispatch. These deliveries may take place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year, in nearly any kind of weather.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Fills customer equipment and vehicles with Offen Petroleum products.
- Delivers small quantities to vehicles, equipment and tanks at both residential and commercial sites.
- Perform duties in accordance with local, state, federal regulations along with DDC procedures.
- Responsible for achieving delivery objectives set forth.
- Inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.
- Interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from dispatcher and management.
- Provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
Required/Preferred Education & Experience
- Minimum two years' applicable driving experience.
- Possess a Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A CDL) with a HazMat endorsement and Tanker Endorsement.
- Clean driving records.
- Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test and Homeland Security background check.
- Candidates must have a current medical card.
- Fuel or lubricant hauling experience preferred.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions.

Working Environment and Physical Demands
Work is performed in a standard office environment with frequent local travel. Requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary; may regularly require the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift 80+ lbs. with assistance.
Working Environment and Physical Demands (Field Positions)
- Lift, push & pull up to 75lbs. repeatedly throughout the course of the shift.
- Walk, squat, stoop, kneel and bend repeatedly at each delivery location.
- Enter and exit truck cab multiple times throughout the day.
- Climb on top of and inspect trailer.
- Pass a DOT physical and maintain FMCSA drug and alcohol standards.
