We are a rapidly growing AI platform leveraging real-time data ingestion, comprehension, and summarization across text, audio, and video to provide actionable insights for communications. We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager to build, lead, and scale our core engineering team as we accelerate growth and serve enterprise-grade customers.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for both technical strategy and people leadership, ensuring the team operates with urgency, rigor, and a focus on long-term scalability. This role requires a balance of hands-on technical work, mentorship, and cross-functional product collaboration.

What You Will Do:

• Build and Lead the Team: Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing group of software engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, speed, and technical rigor.
• Set the Technical Direction: Make foundational architecture and infrastructure decisions across our modern web stack, which includes technologies like TypeScript, React, Python, Node, SQL/NoSQL, and AWS/GCP.
• Ship with Urgency: Ensure the team balances short-term customer needs with long-term scalability, prioritizing high-leverage work and maintaining a high development pace.
• Stay Hands-On: Roll up your sleeves to debug, prototype, and ship code when necessary, while effectively managing and coaching team members.
• Drive Reliability at Scale: Lead the evolution of our cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and CI/CD processes to meet the demands of enterprise clients and high-volume real-time data processing.
• Bridge Customers and Product: Work closely with Product and Customer Success teams to deeply understand user pain points and translate them into effective, long-term technical solutions.

Requirements

We are looking for a proven leader with deep full-stack technical experience and a history of successfully scaling engineering teams.

• 5–8+ years of total software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years spent managing and mentoring engineers.
• Strong technical depth in modern web stacks (TypeScript, React, Python, Node).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or GCP), data pipelines, and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
• Proven ability to make foundational architectural decisions that balance speed and long-term scalability.
• Demonstrated track record of recruiting, mentoring, and retaining high-caliber engineering talent.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills, particularly when translating business needs into technical strategy.

Work Policy:

• This is a full-time, on-site role located in either New York City or San Francisco.
