PLANNER
Responsible for all aspects of the demand planning function by gathering, consolidating, analyzing and acting on Sales and Marketing inputs/information within the forecasting tool. Plans Production, tracks rush orders, assists in scheduling and maintaining accurate inventories.
Reports to Operations Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
Interact with other departments to ensure the proper flow of information.
Follow all applicable safe work policies & procedures.
Ensures the maintenance of a safe & clean work area.
Ensure that corporate policies and procedures are followed. Take disciplinary action as needed
Maintain reporting in and efficient and timely manner
Lead the Demand Input sessions with sales and marketing as part of the S&OP process.
Daily maintenance of all data and information parameters within the forecasting tool.
Monitoring and validation of data outputs from the demand planning tool.
Collaborate and engage with Sales and Marketing or other sources of intelligence to develop a deep understanding of the business/portfolio.
Actively participate in the commercialization and de-commercialization process to drive optimal inventory positions and working capital improvements.
Partner with forecast analysts and inventory analysts to discuss changes to demand, manufacturing challenges, and other events that could impact supply or demand.

Must be computer literate and capable of learning different software
Must be able to organize time and duties to complete in a timely manner
Must be able to interface well with vendors and both internal and external customers.
3 to 5 years of Demand Forecasting or relevant Supply Chain experience
Strong analytical, statistical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Experience using a major Demand Planning software package, preferably SAP APO, or related experience in developing statistical forecasts.
Proficient in MS Office experience using a major supply chain planning software package.
IBF or APICS CPIM/CSCP certification a plus, must begin certification within 6 months of hire.
Familiar with concepts Sales & Operations Planning process and Integrated Business Planning.
Experience in dealing with materials with long lead times, and overseas supply.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE -
High School Diploma or higher preferred, but not required
LANGUAGE SKILLS -
Needs a solid understanding of both written & spoken English
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS –
Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram (graphic) form. Ability to solve a variety of problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information or standardization exists

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear, stand, and sit. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
