Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining a clean, professional and customer-ready environment for the main office, manufacturing facility, and surrounding areas located both inside and outside the facility.

Essential Functions

• Clean & maintain the following areas:

      Office & Common Areas:

      Lobby, Main Office Bathrooms, Conference Rooms, Hallways, Locker Rooms, Lunchroom, Lab

      Manufacturing Facility

      Production, Batchmaking, Receiving, Shipping, Storage Aisles, Docks

• Sweep, mop and vacuum all floors in the office and common areas on a daily basis.
• Sweep, mop, and operate a floor scrubber throughout all areas of the manufacturing facility on a daily basis, using pallet jack when necessary to clear the area. Ensure that floor scrubber is only used on unpainted, concrete surfaces; mop other surfaces manually.
• Scrub and sanitize kitchen sinks, countertops, microwaves and refrigerators.
• Scrub and sanitize bathroom sinks and toilets.
• Dust lobby, desks, credenzas, cubicles, tables and office equipment.
• Empty trash and recycling.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations, including Blood Borne Pathogen.
• Serve as an Emergency Responder

Additional Responsibilities

• Shampoo carpets
• Operate a floor buffer to clean all tile and linoleum floors as needed.
• Clean windows and doors
• Pickup outside trash
• Ensure the visitor parking lot and sidewalks are clean and safe. Assist maintenance staff with shoveling and salting the sidewalk      and steps during winter months.
• Respond to emergency cleanup incidences involving bodily fluids.
• Assist with custodial type duties throughout the facilities as directed by the Process Engineer
• Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of how to properly use all MISCO cleaning products.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate necessary equipment/machines.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Knowledge of OSHA, Blood Borne Pathogen, and company safety regulations

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Physical Demands 

• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
• Ability to reach and stretch overhead and at waist level.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 15’.
• Ability to stand, kneel, squat and crawl.
• Manual dexterity to operate equipment/machines
