Qualifications

Able to pass pre-employment physical/TB test

Obtain fingerprint clearance as required by our licensure
-
LVN or RN license
-
BLS certification

Review medical records to assess appropriateness, effectiveness, and timing of treatments, including prospective, concurrent, and retrospective reviews

Evaluate and revise care plans to ensure optimal patient care and alignment with clinical guidelines and resources
-
Coordinate healthcare services by collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and securing insurer authorizations
-
Manage healthcare resources by monitoring length of stay, medications, therapies, and diagnostic tests to improve cost-effectiveness

Work with insurance and billing departments for preauthorization, reimbursement, and appeals of denials

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accurate documentation of all utilization management activities

Educate patients and families about care plans and healthcare options while providing emotional support and facilitating smooth admissions, discharges, and care conferences
