    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

     
    1. Preference given to Certified Teaching staff.

     

    MAJOR DUTIES

     
    1. Understand production aspects of putting on a musical/drama and its constraints, scheduling, acting, singing, orchestra and choreography, rehearsals, set and prop construction, publicity and costumes;

    2. Offer considerate constructive criticism to students when evaluating performances;

    3. Demonstrate and teach appropriate vocal techniques when portraying characters, including projection, rate and tone quality;

    4. Be familiar with various lighting, sound and stage rigging equipment procedures;

    5. Create rehearsal schedules;

    6. Communicate with other production staff, including stage manager and music director, as directed;

    7. Stay in communication with students, parents, teaching staff and administrators;

    8. Set deadlines for returning all items, tickets or money, or both;

    9. Understand and implement district protocol for student-led club meetings and fundraising;

    10. Attend required financial training regarding monetary responsibilities for advising and directing a club.
