Product Manager

The Product Manager is responsible for the management and commercial outcomes of Taghleef’s Flexibles' product line.  The Product Manager will develop and execute both short- and long-term strategies.  These strategies include product definition, pricing, and global product development programs.  This position will work closely with Marketing, Sales, R&D, and Manufacturing to help drive overall product line profitability.

 Responsibilities:

  • Champion the strategic vision.
  • Develop and execute a 1-3-year product roadmap for the its product line.
  • Develop and manage actionable product plans, market strategies, and tools to achieve aggressive profitability requirements.
  • Coordinate technology transfer between global markets and/or regions. 
  • Manage the product line to enhance manufacturing efficiencies.
  • Determine clear product positioning and communication strategy.
  • Manage advertising outlets: tradeshows, salesforce training, and presentations.
  • Develop market and competitive intelligence.
  • Communicate market trends, customer demand, and competitor strategies.
  • Define investment needs to support strategy.
  • Establish and manage pricing strategy to meet financial targets.

Requirements:                                                                                    

  • BS in Engineering, Material Science, or related field
  • Master’s in Business Administration is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated global management skills required
  • Appropriate industry experience in packaging films, polymers, resins, paper, or furniture required
  • Solid technical background, strong communications skills, and business acumen 
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation experience
  • Experience managing complex new business developments, especially in Europe and Asia. 
  • Financial or sales experience preferred
  • Experience leading market research, market strategy, and new product development
  • Experience defining customer and market needs
  • Ability to translate effective marketing strategies into tactics
  • Ability to organize, coordinate, and direct cross-functional teams
  • Ability to function in different cultures and understand diversity 
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Results-oriented
  • A valid passport is required for international travel
  • Willingness to travel a minimum of 25% 
  • Performs other duties as assigned 
  • Must live in surrounding area of Delaware
