- Create and maintain an enthusiastic, respectful, and positive classroom environment for children, families, and staff.
- Design and implement curriculum that supports center philosophy and meets developmental needs of three and four-year-old children.
- Prepare lessons, activities, and daily schedules tailored to individual learning levels.
- Conduct observations, documentations, and assessments for each child’s physical, social/emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain compliance with DHS licensing, NAEYC accreditation, and Iowa Quality Rating System standards.
- Build strong relationships with families through regular communication, conferences, and orientation.
- Collaborate with coordinators and colleagues to ensure high-quality early education programming.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Attend work as scheduled and complete responsibilities, tasks, and trainings within assigned timelines.
- Doing what's right. Trustworthy. Able to comply with all agency and regulatory standards. Maintain standards of confidentiality (HIPAA) and ethical practice.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Computer Familiarity. Able to browse internet, use email.
- Ability to lift 30–50 pounds multiple times daily.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field.
- Required: Two (2) years’ experience in childcare/education related field.
- Related direct work experience with Infant through Preschool age children.
- Ability to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, fingerprinting, the Sex Offender registry, and a criminal history check.
- Must hold or be able to obtain CPR, First Aid, Mandatory Reporting, and Universal Precautions certifications.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
