Join our team! Developers Paving Company is seeking a full-time Concrete Laborer. This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation, placement, finishing, and curing of concrete for construction projects. This role involves working as part of a crew to ensure concrete work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with form setting, layout, and site preparation for foundations, slabs, sidewalks, and other concrete structures.
- Mix, pour, spread, and level concrete using hand tools and power tools.
- Place and secure rebar, wire mesh, and other reinforcements as required.
- Operate equipment such as concrete saws, power trowels, and screeds under supervision.
- Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using trowels, floats, and brooms.
- Maintain clean and safe job sites by removing debris, cleaning tools, and following company safety procedures.
- Follow instructions from foreman and work as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
- Assist in setting up forms and dismantling them after concrete has cured.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1–2 years of experience in concrete or general construction preferred, but willing to train the right candidate; Basic understanding of concrete tools, materials, and finishing techniques; Ability to read and follow instructions and safety guidelines; Strong attention to detail and quality of work; Good physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent bending, kneeling, standing, and walking; Ability to work in all weather conditions.
