MetroStar is seeking a VP of Products to lead the transformation of innovation into scalable, mission-ready products that accelerate customer outcomes and drive company growth. This executive will sit at the intersection of innovation, design, and delivery ensuring that MetroStar’s accelerators evolve into usable, supportable, and revenue-generating products that achieve measurable market and mission impact.
The ideal candidate is a builder who blends technical fluency, human-centered design, and commercial strategy to shape the future of MetroStar’s product portfolio.
Why MetroStar
At MetroStar, we fuse human-centered design, modern engineering, and AI-enabled delivery to accelerate digital transformation for mission-focused customers. As VP of Products, you’ll play a key role in shaping how innovation becomes impact—transforming R&D into scalable, human-driven solutions that power our next $20M in ARR growth and beyond.
We know that you can’t have great technology services without amazing people. At MetroStar, we are obsessed with our people and have led a two-decade legacy of building the best and brightest teams. Because we know our future relies on our deep understanding and relentless focus on our people, we live by our mission: A passion for our people. Value for our customers.
If you think you can see yourself delivering our mission and pursuing our goals with us, then check out the job description below!
What you’ll do:
- Mission-Aligned Productization: Partner with the Innovation Lab and Tech Fellows to ensure accelerators mature into validated products that meet mission needs. Build a culture of human-centered design where usability and adoption-readiness are as important as technical rigor.
- Product Discipline & Roadmapping: Lead the transformation of accelerators into scalable, supportable products. Establish roadmaps that align with customer outcomes and company growth objectives, ensuring only validated, high-value accelerators move through the productization pipeline.
- Human-Centered Design & UX: Champion design thinking across the entire product lifecycle. Drive intuitive, user-driven experiences that enhance adoption and satisfaction, embedding UX into engineering processes so mission outcomes are achieved by solutions people actually want to use.
- Market & Customer Alignment: Collaborate with mission owners and delivery business units to ensure products address real customer needs and avoid “innovation graveyards.” Align product strategy with Tier 1 customer expansion, ARR growth targets, and OEM co-development opportunities.
- Strategic Bridge Between Innovation & Delivery: Operate at the crossroads of innovation and delivery execution. Balance innovation potential with operational rigor to ensure accelerators don’t stall at prototype but evolve into reliable, production-ready products.
- Portfolio Discipline & Growth Focus: Build and manage a prioritized product portfolio aligned with company-wide goals. Apply investment discipline to allocate resources toward products with the highest mission and market impact.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- 10+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, or engineering leadership in a technology-driven organization.
- Proven track record of taking R&D or prototype initiatives through to scalable, productionized products.
- Deep understanding of human-centered design, user experience, and customer-driven product development.
- Experience aligning product strategy with go-to-market and ARR growth objectives.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills across R&D, delivery, design, and executive teams.
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities to align technical and business stakeholders.
