This role will focus on:

The successful Production Planner will plan, schedule, coordinate and/or monitor the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provide timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates. 

Key Accountabilities include

  • You will be responsible for reviewing open sales orders to determine customer requirements.  .
  • Coordinating delivery of parts to expedite flow of material to meet production schedules
  • You will manage inventory levels to ensure that production demands are met.. This includes working with manufacturing, engineering, quality and warehouse.  You will monitor inventory levels and establish safety stock levels over a set horizon
  • Utilize ERP system to generate manufacturing work orders/kanbans and release work orders/kanbans to warehouse for picking and delivery to manufacturing. 
  • Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages to determine new delivery and completion dates for end products. This includes development of shortage lists as required
  • Notify Customer service of any schedule impacts to customers via the consensus plan
  • Establish, track and maintain consensus plan by reports, such as production progress, customer information and material inventory.  Exercise judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Interacting with cross functional groups and prioritizing your product line

Skills/Experience

  • You have the ability to analyze and understand MRP data within an ERP system. 
  • You will need to be able to address safety stock inventory levels and demand forecasts. Make informed decisions and develop effective production schedules and recovery plans.
  • Understanding of high level Revenue requirements for your program and impacts associated with schedule changes
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, BOM’s in a manufacturing environment.  
  • You can effectively communicate, collaborate with internal teams, and can convey information clearly and concisely. You are able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities, and project requirements is essential in Planning. You must be flexible and agile in your approach to meet evolving business needs
  • You prioritize customer needs and requirements, whether it's internal stakeholders such as production teams or external customers. Ensuring that materials are available on time and meeting quality standards as it is essential for customer satisfaction!
  • As a Production planner you must conduct yourself ethically in all interactions with colleagues, and stakeholders to maintain trust and credibility as part of our values

This position offers a salary range of $62738 – $94107. Final salary offers are determined by multiple factors, including education, experience, internal equity, geographic location, and the candidate’s expertise, and therefore may vary from the range listed. For roles based outside Massachusetts, the applicable salary range may be lower.
