Reports to: Director of Instructional Technology
Job Goal: To increase the faculty and staff's technological competency and proficiency and promote student learning through technology integration.
Qualifications:
- South Carolina certification as a licensed educator
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and cognitive development
- Demonstrated success as a classroom teacher with knowledge and mastery of a variety of effective instructional strategies
- Demonstrated ability in the use of various technologies and applications through coursework, workshop participation, and completed projects and products
- Ability to evaluate software and make recommendations for its use in alignment with curriculum standards
Performance Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with instructional staff and teachers to develop curriculum materials and specific lesson plans that integrate technology
- Facilitates school participation in technology programs and activities
- Supports teachers in their use of technology in all curricular areas, including modeling and co-teaching
- Works with administrators and faculty to implement the district's curriculum through the use of technology as tools for learning
- Coordinates professional development activities directly related to the integrated use of technology in all content areas, including student demonstration projects, classroom demonstrations, team teaching, andworkshops
- Facilitates semester-long, structured, goal-based coaching model with educators to support the intentional and effective integration of technology aligned with instructional goals
- Communicates with the school staff and community about training, equipment, software, curriculum materials, instructional video, and other technology resources
- Observes use of technology applications within all classrooms and provides feedback regarding the impact of professional development offerings on student learning, level of student application, and current professional development needs
- Supervises the operation and use of any site-based technology to assure curriculum and instructional alignment and effective use of technology resources at the school site
- Reviews and recommends instructional technology resources that align with student data privacy laws
- Participates in ongoing professional development related to job responsibilities and maintainingexpertise in the field
Terms of Employment:
- 205 Day Contract
- Teacher Salary Schedule
- 7.5-Hour Workday, Full-Time, Exempt
