Summary
The Creative Director leads a team of graphic designers and creative professionals within Alterra Home Loans Marketing Department. During a project, the Creative Director will be involved in every aspect of a collaboration from the idea phase to the execution and implementation. The Creative Director utilizes their creative vision and is a key contributor to the Alterra Brand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Mentor and encourage marketing team members to foster a positive work environment
- Report on progress of projects to the President of Alterra at major stages (conception, creation, and execution)
- Conceive and implement concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and oversee them to completion
- Ensure project design and content reflect consistently and positively the brand image and company ideals
- Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate marketing ideas
- Work with internal and external strategic partners to create products using the most current industry best practices
- Anticipate problems that may impede a project from completing on time and implement solutions

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to deliver effective results
- Reliable transportation, valid drivers license and current automotive insurance
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Ability to balance departmental needs through communication and organization.
Required Education and Experience
- BS/BA in advertising, fine art, design or relevant field; or relevant experience
Language Skills
- Ability to speak, read and write in the English language
- Fluency is other languages preferred
- Articulate speaker with good interpersonal skills

- Proven experience as a creative director or in a similar creative role
- Hands-on experience in creative process, marketing, graphic design and brand development
