As Sr. AI/ML Engineer II, you’ll lead design, development, evaluation, and operationalization of AI/ML models for IC missions—spanning feature engineering, training, evaluation, drift monitoring, and deployment across classified fabrics (MLOps at scale). AI/ML Lead on team consisting of software, AI/ML, Database, Cybersecurity Engineers as well as additional supporting skillsets for a wide-ranging mission focused on building, enhancing, maintaining, and modernizing a large collection of analytic programs.

What you’ll do:

  • Own model lifecycle (data curation, training, eval, bias/robustness testing, lineage) and MLOps pipelines.
  • Partner with product and mission SMEs to translate analytic needs into performant, explainable models.
  • Implement model risk mgmt (traceability, audit, and RMF‑aligned documentation) and observability at runtime.
  • Coach engineers; establish coding, review, and evaluation standards.
  • Prepare AI models and analytic products for quality assurance testing, documentation, and approval.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • 8+ years in AI/ML engineering or data science with operational deployments.
  • Advanced degree in CS/Data Science/related.
  • Active TS/SCI.
  • Proficiency with Python/Scala, modern ML frameworks, and containerized, cloud‑native deployment.

SALARY RANGE:  $105,000 - $212,000 

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: 

  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
