As a member of the Investments team under the Data Centre Business Unit, this role offers a dynamic opportunity to shape and manage ESR’s data centre portfolio across Asia-Pacific. With a strong emphasis on portfolio management, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, strategic planning, and investor engagement for high-value digital infrastructure assets. Under the direction and guidance of the Senior Director, Investments take ownership and responsibility of the following:
- Portfolio management focus with exposure to all facets of the business as required, including acquisitions;
- Actively maintain, update, and improve financial / asset models for existing data centre assets, including integration of actuals (capex/opex), scenario analysis, and forecast updates;
- Fund modelling / asset model consolidation;
- Investor reporting / internal reporting;
- Coordinate with country teams, finance, development, and joint venture partner to collect and validate inputs for monthly/quarterly model updates;
- Support JV workstreams, including preparation of Board materials, development of JV business plans, and coordination with partners.
- Preparation of annual business plans;
- Portfolio analytics;
- Preparation of marketing materials and pitchbooks;
- Investor RFIs and DDQs.
OTHERS:
- Assist in any ad-hoc projects assigned;
- Work at all times with the ESR shareholders, investors and other members of the ESR teams in a professional, cooperative and friendly manner;
- Always present a positive attitude and positive impression of ESR internally within the Company and to third parties with whom you interact.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in data centre investments, private equity, investment banking, or management consulting
- Strong financial modelling skills and experience with valuation techniques (DCF, LBO, comps, precedent transactions)
- Previous experience working on data centre transactions is highly desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and complex models
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and explain complex ideas clearly and concisely
- Ability to work effectively in teams and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
