Your role at Baxter:

As Sr specialist, Quality Engineer, Demonstrates leadership in support of Baxter’s values, mission and objectives. Provides leadership in Quality Control and Assurance into the production department. Ensures compliance with the local procedures. Demonstrates a teamwork approach in maintaining professional relationships with internal and external customers, including regulatory and certifying agencies. Prioritises to best serve customers, as well as business needs. Plan and lead all aspects of various initiatives like cost reduction, continuous improvement projects, and alerts for meaningful quality issues to nurture a collaborative team environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manages customer complaint process, including review, trending, and internal / external customer communication.

  • Manages Quality Escalation Notifications activities.

  • Responsible to attend and communicate escalations with B2B´s Customers (when applicable).

  • Promote, manage and participates in Continuous Improvement projects within Quality and other areas of the Company.

  • Promote and follow Quality Culture and any other Quality and company initiatives.

  • Managing NCMR´s, NCR´s, CAPA´s, Customer Complaints, Validations, related to assigned area.

  • Assure that any noncompliance associated with manufacturing processes, audit findings, complaints, design processes, etc. are addressed in a timely manner and that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken.

  • Manage and lead personnel.

  • Assure quality metrics for the assigned area.

  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data.

  • Plan, execute and oversee inspection and testing of products to verify conformance with specifications.

What You'll Bring !

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent experience.

  • Five (5) to 10 years in a Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and/or Engineering role, with a minimum of 5 years in Manufacturing and/or Quality

  • Experience in the medical device industry or automotive industry in development and deployment on Quality System and process controls and continuous improvement methods (QSR’s, ISO9000/QS9000, ISO13485)

  • Primary/Secondary party compliance auditing experience.
