What is the role?

This is a meaningful opportunity to help lead the Connect and Respect program, an innovative initiative supporting men who use violence in their intimate relationships to make lasting change. As the Behaviour Change Coordinator, you will oversee a team of facilitators delivering behaviour change interventions across multiple metropolitan sites.

You will provide values driven leadership, champion service quality, and cultivate strategic partnerships to strengthen program outcomes. The role also involves direct engagement with stakeholders and funding bodies to ensure effective reporting and continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Accountable for quality assurance, ensuring timely service delivery while maintaining program integrity.

  • Lead and supervise case management to drive improved client outcomes and build staff capability through ongoing development.

  • Oversee referrals, assessments, group facilitation, data and reporting processes.

  • Promote culturally safe and inclusive service environments that respect and respond to diverse client needs.

  • Drive high team performance through clear goal-setting, reflective supervision, and continuous professional development, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

This position is offered on a permanent full-time basis working 76 hours per fortnight with the opportunity to work from Perth, Armadale and Joondalup offices, with travel between the sites required. Due to the nature of this position and industry, you may be required to occasionally work evening shifts finishing at 8pm.

 

What are we looking for?

 

You are genuinely a values driven leader with a deep understanding of group facilitation and a passion to contribute to ending family and domestic violence. You are dedicated to the safety and wellbeing of women and children, and you bring a compassionate yet accountable approach to supporting men taking responsibility and making meaningful change.

Ideally you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in the human services field with a specialisation in Family Violence, and/or significant experience in Family and Domestic Violence and Abuse (4th year psychology qualification relevant preferred)

  • Relevant experience in a similar role leading the delivery of group facilitation.

  • Advanced skills in risk assessment, facilitation, safety planning, advocacy, negotiation, and teamwork.

  • Cultural competency to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, culturally and linguistically diverse populations, and people with disabilities.

  • Experience in building and maintaining engagement of multiple stakeholders

  • Demonstrated leadership in people and resource management, with the ability to drive consistent outcomes and deliver high-quality professional supervision.Knowledge of Family Domestic Violence and Abuse and working with Family Safety.

  • Valid drivers licence, police clearance, Working with Children and a willingness to obtain a Department of Justice Clearance once employed.
