Job Responsibilities
Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- Manage and supervise team members in the department. Set and review short & long term goals for the team.
- Develop and implement structured preventive maintenance programs to ensure proper functioning of the pumps, filters, plumbing systems & chemical dosing systems for all Rides.
- Responsible to manage manpower planning and scheduling and overseeing training/ JQS for the TM to ensure completion of all maintenance activities in a safe and timely manner for park operation.
- Work together on the field with the attraction recovery team on troubleshooting and recovery of a diverse range of electrical and mechanical ride and show equipment and water features, within the theme park.
- Oversee spares planning ensuring all spares are readily available to prevent rides downtime.
- Managing outsource work perform by external vendors by reviewing their scope of work, site monitoring, scheduling and work safety.
- Understand and to ensure compliance to Amusement ride safety regulations set by Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and National Environment Agency (NEA). Be ready to assume responsibility of a BCA approved Ride Manager for the Company.
- Provide park operations support as a Duty Manager
- Guide and administer training programs for the team and ensure all team members are aware of current procedures and processes.
Workplace Safety & Compliance
- Establish and develop internal safety procedures, risk assessment and safety promotion programme.
- Conduct inspection of workplace to ensure the safety and health of personnel in the premises and discuss observations.
- Provide recommendations to improve safety procedures.
- Ensure that the internal safety procedures are aligned with the organization WSH Policy
& Framework and are being carried out. - Ensure that TMs understand and follow the proper safety procedures.
- Maintain safety records or statistics and recommend for improvements.
- Carry out periodic risk assessment for all work processes and bring down safety risks to a reasonably practicable level.
- Hold safety briefings and meetings to disseminate relevant safety information to the whole department.
- Conduct investigation into accident and recommend appropriate remedial measures to prevent recurrence.
- Promote safe conduct of work within the department
- Develop and implement structured Safety and Compliance inspection programs for all Rides and Shows to ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely and comply to standards.
- Understand Amusement ride safety regulations set by Building and Construction
Authority (BCA) and Fire and Rescue Management System set by SCDF. - Oversea the annual BCA Operating Permits (OP) and SCDF Certificate of Compliance
(COC) renewal inspections. Support Specialist Professional Engineer (SPE) and Conformity Assessor (CA) during the inspections and follow through the report submission to BCA. - Guide BCA and SCDF personnel for their routine inspections of Rides and Shows venues.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in engineering environment involving Electrical, Mechanical and/or Motion Controls systems.
- Proficiency in establishing and managing an effective reliability program is essential
- Experience and knowledge in maintenance of pumps, fans, filtration and chemical dosing systems will be advantageous.
- Thrive in a dynamic, result-driven environment and ability to multi-task
- An effective leader and good team player.
- Ability to perform shifts including weekends and public holidays
