We are looking for a Portfolio Manager - Wireless to join our Operations Team!
Role and Responsibilities:
MetTel’s Portfolio Manager – Wireless will own relationships with leading vendors including OEMs (Apple, Samsung, and Lenovo) and wireless providers (Verizon, AT+T, T-Mobile) to ensure that MetTel’s ecosystem aligns with market needs, carrier capabilities, and evolving technology trends. The individual will represent MetTel’s strategic interests with partners, contribute to product launches from concept through commercialization, resolve critical launch issues, and contribute directly to the company’s wireless growth strategy through data-driven portfolio management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM partners, carriers to secure optimal device availability, pricing, and feature sets for MetTel customers
- Act as the central liaison between OEMs, carriers, and internal teams to ensure consistent messaging, clarity, and execution excellence
- Conduct ongoing market and competitive analysis to position MetTel’s device lineup effectively against other carriers and MVNOs.
- Leverage data insights (sales mix, activation trends, and customer demand) to drive portfolio decisions and improve ROI
- Collaborate with Product, Procurement, Finance and Sales teams to inform pricing, promotional strategies, and channel enablement
- Collaborate with Product Managers to support product roadmap deliverables —coordinating cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and OEM partners) to ensure flawless execution
- Develop and present device roadmap and launch briefings to senior leadership, ensuring visibility into OEM relationships, key dependencies, and escalation points
- Manage and maintain device launch calendars, ensuring timely communication and alignment across internal and external stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to introduce differentiated device features or bundles that enhance customer experience and network value
- Provide strategic input into marketing, training, and enablement materials to position MetTel’s device offerings in the market
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Telecommunications, or a related field; MBA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive experience in wireless product management, OEM engagement, or device portfolio leadership
- Strong knowledge of the telecommunications ecosystem, including carrier operations, device certification, and network integration
- Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across OEMs, carriers, and internal departments
- Strategic thinker with deep commercial acumen and experience driving measurable portfolio growth
- Advanced communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at the executive level
- Strong analytical background with experience interpreting data and applying insights to decision-making
- Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional environments, including project management and escalation resolution
*The salary range reflected is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay for this position is up to $165,000 annually. Pay varies by work location and may also depend on job -related knowledge, skills, experience and abilities of the successful candidate.
