Inova Behavioral Health Center Fairfax is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist 2 PRN to join the CATS - IOP Merrifield team. This role will be PRN (On-call/as needed) Department working hours are Monday to Friday 830a-5p half day and evenings M/W/Th 430-9p.

Behavioral Health Therapist 2 PRN- Job Responsibilities:
- The Behavioral Health Therapist 2 assesses and diagnoses mental health and/or substance use disorders through a bio/psycho/social department specific evidenced based assessment.
- Integrates assessments using information related to cultural, clinical, ethnic, age and other factors into the plan of care.
- Provides a range of therapeutic interventions, psycho-educational programming and behavioral interventions to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.
- Provides care management to ensure the patient and family receive and are subsequently referred to appropriate healthcare and community resources to optimize treatment/intervention outcomes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master's Degree, Ph.D., PsyD, or EdD in Mental Health, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health-related field.
- Experience: Two years of experience in mental health/substance use disorder treatment, psychoeducational programming including targeted, evidence-based interventions (crisis intervention, trauma, and integrative therapies).
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support required within 3months of hire
- Vistelar required within 6 Months of hire
- License: one of the following required upon start
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC),
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT),
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW),
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP),
- Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).
