Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in marketing, brand management, strategy consulting, public affairs or related fields.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Experience developing and executing communications and marketing plans for executive audiences.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in public sector or public affairs marketing or political/advocacy campaigns.
- Ability to lead and evaluate issues on their own in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in an environment with changing priorities and tight timelines.
- Ability to develop strategy, communications plans, creative campaigns, customer insights, and analyze campaign effectiveness/Return on Investment (ROI).
- Excellent problem-solving skills.

About the job
This role sits on the Policy Campaigns Marketing team. This team leads the marketing response and coordination for some of the biggest policy issues impacting the business. The role involves working closely with the cross-functional team to develop and deploy marketing strategy and tactics to improve regulatory outcomes for the business. Tactics include research, collateral for KOFs, third-party engagement, events, proactive story telling, and planning for escalation scenarios. Key Stakeholders: Regional and Local brand marketers and the GAPP Campaigns team.
Responsibilities
- Partner with regional and local market teams to build strategic scenario planning to inform and improve our engagements and activations across policymakers, third-party organizations and key user groups.
- Develop and execute policy strategy that benefits Google users and our business in coordination with Google's Government Affairs Campaign team and marketing’s regional and local teams.
- Work with cross-functional internal and international marketing teams to organize events, develop collateral, and build narratives to explain Google’s position on emerging policy topics globally.
- Lead research, collateral development for Key Opinion Formers (KOFs), events, proactive story telling, and strategic planning sessions.
