The Produce Shift Leader plays a key role in supporting the daily operations and team performance within the Produce Department at Plum Market. Working closely with the Produce Team Leader and Assistant Team Leader, this position helps lead the department during assigned shifts, ensuring product freshness, merchandising standards, food safety, and exceptional Customer Service. The Shift Leader assists in training, coaching, and holding Team Members accountable while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

What you will bring:
A working knowledge of produce rotation, merchandising, and handling.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, documents, and priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience mentoring or training Team Members in a retail setting.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and push/pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.
What you will do:
Support department operations during assigned shifts, ensuring consistency in Customer Service, presentation, and productivity.
Train and mentor Team Members on product knowledge, rotation standards, merchandising, and closing procedures.
Provide helpful, accurate, and friendly service to Customers throughout the Produce Department.
Collaborate with department leadership to resolve operational issues and maintain execution standards.
Monitor and uphold departmental cleanliness, organization, and backstock management.
Communicate effectively with Team Members, Store Leadership, and Customers to support department goals.
Ensure compliance with all Plum Market policies, food safety standards, and standard operating procedures.
