Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is a private radiology practice with over 100 radiologists serving 10 hospitals across Colorado. We also provide diagnostic services at more than 40 locations throughout Colorado and Hawaii.

RIA is dedicated to delivering high-quality, specialty-based diagnostic imaging, image-guided therapy, and associated medical care. We operate Invision Sally Jobe (ISJ), a network of 12 outpatient imaging centers in South Denver, offering a wide range of exams using state-of-the-art equipment.

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy and integrity of the organization’s financial information. This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining accounting records, including the general ledger, coding of invoices, posting of bank activity, Assist with Dr. expense management. This role requires an understanding of GAAP, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple entities and complex accounting transactions. The Staff Accountant will collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure financial compliance, streamline accounting processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal controls and reporting efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and apply an understanding of accounting principles in performance of general journal/ledger entries, financial recordings, and reconciliations

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Calculate, create, and post transactions into general ledger accounts

  • Assist with reconciling general ledger accounts

  • Assist and prepare documentation for Senior Accountants

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities

  • Identify errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and accuracy

  • Assist with external audits where needed

  • Liaise with finance, revenue cycle, and operations to improve financial procedures

  • Assist with Dr. Expense Allowance of reviewing and approving transactions

  • Prepare and post daily bank activity

  • Assist with 1099 preparation

  • Assist with Sales and Use Tax for cities and state

  • Assist AP/AR with inputting invoices into accounting software

  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • No direct supervisory responsibility; may provide guidance and workflow leadership to other members of the team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Experience in multi-location, healthcare, or physician enterprise environments preferred.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience required

  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central preferred

  • Familiarity with SAP Concur preferred

  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong communication and organizational abilities

  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $28.84 to $38.47 hourly depending upon qualifications.

In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Radiology Imaging Associate’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position will accept applications on an ongoing basis and will remain open until filled.

Full-time employees will become eligible for benefits on the 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment. Part-time employees may have access to some of these benefits, which may be on a pro-rated basis. PRN employees are not eligible for benefits.
