About the Department

St. Bonaventure University (SBU) invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track eligible faculty position in the Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology (MS SLP) program. The MS SLP program  at SBU is currently a candidate for accreditation through the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA). This is a fully remote position with primary responsibilities in teaching, student mentorship, and course development. Applicants must have experience teaching and developing online courses and a desire to contribute to a dynamic, collaborative environment that supports student success. Additional responsibilities align areas of expertise and tenure track expectations in scholarship and service. Preferred areas of teaching interest include autism spectrum disorders, adult neurogenic language disorders, dysphagia, and/or fluency disorders. The preferred start date is January 2026; however, a later start date may be arranged if needed.

Position Duties

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach graduate-level courses in the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program (delivered via distance education). 
• Engage in scholarly activities consistent with tenure-track expectations within the DePerro School of Health Professions
•  Support program compliance with accreditation standards and reporting requirements.
• Contribute service to the department, school, university, and profession. 
• Support the mission of the program to expand access to graduate education in speech-language pathology, particularly in underserved areas.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a closely related field (ABD considered).
• Current CCC-SLP and state licensure (or eligibility) in the state of residence
• Record of, or potential for, scholarly productivity.
• Experience with online teaching and distance education.

• Experience using technology to support remote collaboration, including video conferencing, shared drives, and online communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Slack)
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering a professional and respectful environment in teaching, research, and service.
• Commitment to advancing SBU’s core values of compassion, wisdom, and integrity in teaching, scholarship, and service. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in adult populations, specifically aphasia and cognitive communication disorders.
• Experience in bilingual clinical service delivery
