QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background in working with students with special needs and attend to personal needs of students with disabilities.
- Ability to supervise students with special needs
- Team working relationship with teachers and other support staff
- Ability to communicate effectively using oral and written language
- Must understand and effectively address student’s needs
- Will need to be trained in nonviolent physical restraint procedures
- Successful completion of all mandated criminal background screenings and fingerprinting required
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Provide instructional support for students and provide for educational needs of students with severe disabilities.
- Work in regular, special education, and independent educational settings
- Provide direct student supervision throughout the school day
- Provide necessary reports as directed by teachers and administration
- Must be able to physically lift and move student when necessary
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
- 150 days / 7.5 hour workday / 4 day school week
- Salary according to the Classified Salary Schedule
