Job Summary

Our Integrated Design Services Group is seeking a full-time Engineer Intern (EI) with interest and coursework in aquatic, water infrastructure, mechanical, and/or civil engineering. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a team environment. Project types will include waterparks, aquatic centers, splashpads, fountains, park planning, hospitality, and recreational facilities.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in developing design plans and documents, including engineering analysis, standards, calculations, technical reports, cost analysis, and written specifications for a variety of aquatic recreational projects.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal and regional regulatory agencies to support project needs, including assisting in presenting reports, studies, and reviewing aquatic safety and design standards.
  • Work under the guidance of senior engineers on project deliverables and collaborate with internal aquatic staff at key design process milestones.
  • Support hydraulic analysis, pump sizing, chemical feed systems, water filtration, and coordination with structural, electrical, and architectural disciplines for aquatic projects.
  • Participate in site visits as needed to observe project progress and assist in field data collection.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field (or currently pursuing)
  • Interest in obtaining a Professional Engineering License in the future; ability to pursue licensure in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and/or Wisconsin.
  • Experience through internships, co-ops, or academic projects in aquatics or water infrastructure is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
