Day (United States of America)Job Summary:
Supports all aspects of the Materials Management Department. Performs a variety of clerical and manual tasks in the receipt, verification, storage, issuance, and delivery of various supplies, materials, gases, and equipment to all Augusta University Medical Center's departments.Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Receives and unpacks shipments and verifies contents against purchase orders and invoices. Records receiving reports on all merchandise. Reports concerning shortages and damaged materials received. Stores material according to established procedures. Generates storeroom issue documents using computers, printer hardware, and interdepartmental-developed software. Operates light or medium weight trucks and equipment to pick up and deliver materials and supplies according to priority of need or a predetermined schedule. Loads and unloads truck by hand or forklift. Transports and transfers supplies and equipment from one storage area to another. Pulls stock to fill requisitions from various departments as directed and completes the relevant forms in accordance with established procedures. Responds to customers (hospital staff and physicians) requests in a professional, helpful, and timely manner in person and on the telephone and provides directions and other helpful information to visitors and others while performing distribution duties. Assists in special inventory of materials and equipment. Assists in special and scheduled storeroom inventories. Informs storeroom supervisor of various stock levels and assists in maintaining outstanding orders. Performs other duties as directed, including filling in for other areas of Supply Chain Management as needed on a temporary basis. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.Required Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma General or GED General or Trade School Diploma/Degree Other-Preferred
