Job Summary: The Night Shift Fabrication Manager is responsible for directing and managing all plant operations during the night shift, with oversight of production efficiency, maintenance, quality, safety, and related activities. This role ensures operational objectives are achieved in a timely, cost-effective, and safe manner while supporting company goals. The position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Direct and oversee night shift plant operations.

• Coordinate and communicate with departmental managers to achieve overall manufacturing objectives.

• Assist in developing and controlling budgets, cost plans, and operational targets.

• Implement effective systems to control capital expenditures, operating costs, labor, and staffing.

• Manage and support maintenance of capital assets and equipment.

• Monitor and maintain plant performance standards for production output and quality.

• Reduce and control labor overtime, repair expenses, and premium freight costs.

• Maintain and adjust plant facilities and equipment as needed to ensure optimal functioning.

• Provide leadership, coaching, and training to support company goals and employee development.

• Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs.

• Drive shop floor organization, housekeeping, and plant cleanliness.

• Foster a positive work environment through direction, development, and leadership of plant personnel.


Requirements

Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of business and management principles including budgeting, planning, resource allocation, and HR processes.

• Familiarity with industry-standard manufacturing equipment and technical practices.

• Understanding of safety, quality, productivity, inventory management, and operational processes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong computer skills.

• Proven ability to lead by example and promote accountability.

• Strong team-building, decision-making, and people-management abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field preferred.
