Central New York Cardiology, a leading physician specialty practice in Utica, NY, is dedicated to providing exceptional cardiovascular care to our community. We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Nuclear Medicine Department. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic team committed to advancing patient health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform stress test in a modern new stress lab
- Assist in preparing and administering nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after cardiac stress testing to ensure comfort and safety.
- Educate patients about procedures, including potential risks and post-procedure care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including radiation safety and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated patient care.
- Assist with inventory management and proper handling of radioactive materials
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Prior experience with stress testing, EKG interpretation, and establishing IV access in nuclear medicine, radiology, or a related specialty is preferred.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Current ACLS is preferred.
