A temporary athletic team coach must be knowledgeable and competent in: coaching techniques; care and prevention of athletic injuries, basic first aid, and emergency procedures; rules and regulations in the athletic activity; and child or adolescent psychology, whichever is appropriate to the grade level of the involved sports activity.
