Job Summary:
Neumo is seeking an experienced Technical Purchasing Agent. This candidate will be responsible for the purchasing, receiving, inventorying, asset management, and billing processes for the IT Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate solutions based on needs.
- Work with vendors to get the best pricing on products for the County.
- Work with departments to make sure their computer capital requests are submitted by the IT Department.
- Create computer capital requests, to be approved by IT Director.
- Create requisitions to be approved by IT Director.
- Receiving and inventorying shipments.
- Maintaining asset information.
- Invoice coding, to be approved by IT Director.
- Invoice tracking and management.
- Create and send out invoices as appropriate for tax billing, phone purchase reimbursements, etc., to be approved by IT Director.
- Track incoming payments.
- Manage maintenance and contract renewal dates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Experience in technical procurement and demonstrated ability to procure quality products and services at negotiated prices.
- Experience in inventory management preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Technical understanding of computer and network equipment configurations and/or solutions.
- Requires strong organizational skills as well as skills in relationship building, and time management.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual work station, using telephone and computer
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day
- May need to lift packages and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine
- This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
- The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone and computer
