PLANT OPERATIONS INTERN at Kent Nutrition Group

In this role, you'll gain invaluable experience providing technical, engineering, and operations management assistance to the production facilities.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Initiate, design, and execute projects with respect to process and equipment
  modifications or changes, which improve operating conditions, safety, energy
  conservation, environmental concerns, and/or profitability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insight and direction.
• Work side-by-side with plant operations team to gain understanding of feed mill operations and different process areas within the plant(s). Utilize knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve process issues.
• Monitor process equipment downtime records to identify troublesome equipment.
  Review findings with Plant Manager and Maintenance with recommendations for
  improvements.
• Responsible for cost reduction financial analysis.
• Develop and ensure compliance with proper quality and safety procedures.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Feed Science and Management, Mechanical, Industrial, Agricultural Engineering, or Agricultural Systems Technology
• Internship or co-op experiences in an operational environment a plus, but not required.
