The Home Medical Equipment Tech (HME), DME/Respiratory Technician is responsible for the coordination and delivery of medical equipment to include respiratory medical equipment. Duties include cleaning, disinfecting, maintaining, function testing, and educating patient on safe and proper use of DME/Respiratory medical equipment.

Responsibilities
The DME Respiratory Equipment Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Cleans, disinfects, assembles, and maintains durable medical equipment and respiratory care equipment.
* Sets up patient and instructs on proper and safe use of medical equipment and supplies as well as physician prescription.* Assists in organization and management of supply rooms.
* Assists in maintaining inventory of equipment needs for the branch, including ordering from vendor and entering into inventory system.
* Performs data entry, answers telephone and directs calls to appropriate staff.
* Answers questions for patients and referral sources regarding insurance criteria and replenishment processes.
* Assists in processing RMA for equipment failures.
* Routinely fills CPAP resupply orders
* Responsible for accreditation tasks as assigned
* Follows all federal, state, local and regulatory guidelines
The DME Respiratory Tech reports to the Branch manager.
This job may require the incumbents to operate a INTEGRIS owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non INTEGRIS owned) and therefore must have a current State Driver’s License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
Qualifications
* Preferred 2 years experience with Durable Medical Equipment
* Preferred 2 years experience with Medicare and other insurance carriers as it pertains to Durable Medical Equipment
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
