This is a full time position for an advanced medical assistant, providing outpatient care for our patients and assisting our physicians and advanced practice providers in all clinical areas of the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Takes vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, and blood pressure. May draw blood and give injections under the immediate supervision of a Physician or RN.
Chaperon when appropriate and assists during certain minor surgeries and diagnostic procedures, such as Pap Smears.
Maintain clean, well-equipped examination rooms; cleans and sterilizes instruments.
Document all information in EMR.
Stock examination rooms and triage area with medical supplies. Inventory and reorder supplies.
- QA Review of patient charts obtaining and documenting all pertinent information.
- Train and orient new medical assistants.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Completion of a Medical Assistant program (or equivalent military training) and certification (RMA or CMA) is required. Completion of BLS class and re-certify every 2 years.
EXPERIENCE:
At least one (1) year of Medical Assistant clinical experience is required.
Must have working knowledge of computers.
Customer service-oriented individual is required.
Women’s health experience preferred.
Experience in a “fast paced” ambulatory setting preferred.
Ability to balance multiple priorities and tasks preferred.
