RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Shape and champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture that values employee engagement, diversity, and continuous development.
- Serve as a cultural role model, promoting Burkert values and furthering organizational development to deliver excellence for both employees and customers.
- Act as the primary strategic HR liaison between the USA/Canada region and Corporate HR, ensuring alignment of regional initiatives with global standards and practices.
- Develop and execute regional HR strategies that align with business objectives, including continuous assessment and improvement of policies, procedures, and programs.
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic business planning, integrating HR insights into organizational goals.
- Oversee and elevate end-to-end talent management: acquisition, development, performance, engagement, and retention.
- Lead and evolve the performance management process, ensuring alignment with a culture of accountability and development.
- Provide executive coaching and HR guidance to senior leadership on organizational development, succession planning, and regional HR challenges.
- Design and direct competitive compensation and benefits programs in alignment with corporate philosophy and market benchmarks.
- Collaborate with finance to create and manage HR budgets and workforce planning forecasts.
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing HR team, fostering strategic execution and operational excellence.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, local, and international labor laws applicable to the region.
- Drive organizational development and change management efforts to enhance adaptability and growth.
- Oversee regional training and development programs that build capability and readiness at all organizational levels.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in strategic leadership roles within complex, fast-paced, and matrixed organizations.
- Comprehensive expertise across all core HR disciplines, including HR Strategy, Talent Management & Acquisition, Performance Management, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits), and Compliance & Risk Management.
- Knowledge of employment legislation at the federal, state, local, and international levels, with demonstrated ability to ensure compliance and mitigate risk globally.
- Experience operating in global manufacturing environments, collaborating effectively across geographies and cultures.
- Ability to align HR strategies and programs with organizational goals related to growth, profitability, operations, and workforce planning.
- Ability to communicate complex HR strategies and policies clearly to diverse audiences, including executives, managers, and front-line employees.
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships across functions, locations, and leadership levels.
- Ability to lead initiatives that promote performance-based and inclusive workplace practices across multiple locations.
- Ability to lead teams by providing both strategic direction and direct operational support as needed.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt strategies in response to evolving organizational needs and changing business environments.
- Experience implementing initiatives that improve workforce capability, streamline HR processes, and strengthen organizational culture to support business objectives.
- SHRM (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) or HRCI (PHR/SPHR) certification.
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
