Job Summary
Work with the Vice President of Card Services to manage aspects of the Bank’s credit card program. This will include new account setup and ongoing servicing for both consumer and business accounts. Will act as liaison between departments including business development, service center, retail and accounting for specialized attention to customer needs and employee support for credit cards. Drives operational and strategic initiatives focused on growth, profitability and efficiency.
Primary Accountabilities
- Perform full range of duties as described in the job summary including complete adherence to all policies and practices of the Bank and its applicable regulatory and governmental agencies.
- Mastery of systems, processes and procedures unique to the credit card program including Client Central, Credit Console, Originate and Meridian Link.
- Create business accounts for new applicants once approved by underwriting. After account setup, ongoing management of business card relationships including card addition/deletion, credit limit changes, online account access.
- Troubleshoot complex customer problems with and without assistance of vendor client support.
- Occasional customer interactions regarding card products, features, and services.
- Provide reporting to internal stakeholders including accounting, loan processing, and underwriting.
- Reconciliation of monthly vendor invoices to ensure accurate billing.
Secondary Accountabilities
- Provide assistance to co-workers with difficult internal problems or customer inquiries or problems. Ensure prompt and courteous response to customer inquiries.
- Effective vendor management, including enforcing accountability for problems/errors by vendors.
- Assist in the development of manuals and supporting documentation to accomplish tasks/duties inherent in this position.
- Assist in establishing goals for their areas and implementation of same as necessary.
- Keep abreast of new developments and trends in the credit card industry; identify potential product opportunities and participate in the development and implementation of plans and programs to respond to these opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Associate degree and/or equivalent of 3 years’ experience in business.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet time driven deadlines and bank goals
- Strong customer service skills including written and oral communication and responsiveness to internal and external customers
- Team focused with the ability to be flexible, compromise and creatively solve problems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Must be friendly, professional, and non-confrontational
