Job Title: Senior Accountant

Duties and Responsibilities
- · Produce monthly financial statements in a timely manner
- · Analyze financial statements and review with division leaders
- · Invoice monthly contracts and grants and provide data to support amounts invoiced
- · Month-end closing activities
- · Prepare state and federal filings
- · Support audits
- · Maintain allocation models
- · General ledger and bank account reconciliations
- · Provide data for budgeting and planning
- · Assist in finance department planning, attend meetings and trainings as requested
- · Strong AI, BI, and Microsoft Excel skills
- · Attention to detail
- · Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- · Complete other related assignments as requested
Job Requirements
- · Understanding of GAAP
- · Familiar with MA State Agency Contracts, Federal Grants, EOHHS, and Third-Party Billing
- · Knowledge of Virtual Gateway EIM including Unit and Accommodation Rates as well as Cost Reimbursement
- · Comprehension of general ledger and financial statements
- · Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
- · Three to five years related experience
- · Ability to structure and organize job responsibilities with minimal supervision
- · Displays sound judgment
- · Works well as a team member
Minimum Qualifications
- · High level of organizational skills and capability to perform multiple tasks concurrently
- · Proficient in software applications including: Excel and accounting software
- · Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- · Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- · Supports the mission and goals of Gandara Center
Preferred
- · CPA designation
- · Blackbaud Financial Edge or NXT experience
- · Non Profit Accounting experience
- · Third Party Billing experience
Working Conditions
This position is a 40 hour a week position, five (5), eight (8) hour days unless agreed upon by the Department Manager.
