About the Role:
As a Forklift Driver at Southern Specialties Inc, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within our warehouse and production facilities. Your primary objective will be to operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods, maintaining the flow of inventory and supporting overall operational productivity. You will be responsible for adhering to safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents and damage to products or equipment. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work collaboratively with warehouse and logistics teams. Ultimately, your work will contribute directly to meeting delivery schedules and maintaining high standards of warehouse organization and safety.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have recent experience operating forklifts in a warehouse.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have the ability to work in a cold environment.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift, bend, twist, squat, reach and grasp.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members.
