About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Service Manager to join our dedicated team in Sheffield & Rotherham

 

As the Service Manager, you will provide strong, visible leaderships. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the service, supervising the team and promoting the service. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to make a meaningful contribution to our service and create a positive environment to encourage service users to feel empowered to achieve their personal goals and lead fulfilling lives.

 

General Tasks

  • Be the main point of contact for staff, commissioners, and external agencies.
  • Promote the service to a wide audience, building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and improve service delivery, ensuring it meets high standards and supports recovery.
  • Lead and supervise the Team Leader and Recovery Case Workers, fostering a culture of good practice.
  • Oversee property and VOID management, including inspections, repairs, and tenancy transitions.
  • Champion creative, trauma-informed approaches to reduce inequality and promote mental health recovery.
  • Stay informed on mental health and learning disability pathways, policies, and best practices.
  • Act as the safeguarding lead, ensuring safety and compliance across the service.

 

 

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant field (mental health, psychology, health and social care)
  • Level 3 – 5 in management and/or coaching, or be willing to undertake
  • An individual who embraces challenges enthusiastically
  • An understand of the principles of Psychologically Informed Environments and Trauma Informed Practice
  • At least 5 years’ experience of supporting people with multiple complex needs, particularly with mental health and learning disabilities
  • At least 3 years' experience in the management of commissioned services
  • Experience of building successful professional relationships with stakeholders
  • Experience of writing reports
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
