Description
Our Maintenance Workers are responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the maintenance function; perform duties to support proper building access; report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; respond to inquiries or requests for information; and assist the immediate supervisor with administrative tasks to support department operations.
Essential Duties:
- Performs general maintenance and repair work, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs on such equipment as engines, lawn mowers, electrical fixtures, sinks, and drinking fountains; installs ceiling and floor tiles, using general hand tools and electrically powered hand tools.
- Ensures that all mechanical equipment, such as air conditioners, heating systems, and alarm systems, is functioning properly.
- Performs minor repairs on office equipment, etc.
- Performs minor and routine painting; repaints parking lot lines as needed; repairs woodwork and plaster.
- Replaces light tubes/bulbs as needed.
- Performs carpentry duties in order to build additions or revisions to existing structures or facilities.
- Cleans exterior grounds of debris as necessary; mows the lawns, trims shrubbery, and shovels snow as required.
- Transports bank vehicles for service. Intermittently transports documents, mail, supplies, and other materials for the Bank to various branch locations.
- Performs duties to support proper building access, as needed.
- Ensures the security desk area is manned at all times and visitors and callers are greeting promptly.
- Welcomes visitors in a professional and courteous manner; enforces the sign-in procedure and, when authorized, directs visitors to the floor and department they are seeking or otherwise assists them in meeting their requests/needs.
- Ensures that visitors sign in; issues a visitor ID tag to be returned on their departure.
- Ensures that the department is notified of visitors’ access and impending arrival.
- Ensures the reception area is tidy and welcoming, and information within the reception is up to date.

Requirements
Education/Training: Specialized equipment and maintenance training, e.g., electrical, plumbing, etc.
Skill(s): Must demonstrate strong communication skills; moderate interpersonal relations skills; knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating, and air conditioning systems; ability to use hand and power tools; carpentry skills; valid driver's license.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of related experience normally required.
