Registered Nurse RN – Vascular Access – PRN, Nights

Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work hours: PRN/per diem, Night shift, 1 shift per 6-week schedule required

Department Highlights

  • The vascular access department supports all adult inpatient and outpatient units by assisting with ultrasound guided PIVs and lab draws, placing midlines, PICC lines, IJ and femoral central lines, temporary dialysis catheters and arterial lines. We change central lines dressings, provide trouble shooting for vascular access complications, and surveillance on central lines to avoid CLABSIs.

Here’s what you need:

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
  • BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • Vascular Access experience preferred 
  • VA-BC or CRNI– Certification preferred.

  • Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs.
  • The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations.
