Medical Assistant
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medical Assistant and play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care. Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, you will provide essential nursing care, support medical providers, and help coordinate efficient patient flow within our clinic. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits by turning on instruments, computer systems, lights, and ensuring rooms are clean, organized, and well-stocked each morning.
- Assist medical providers during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Collect and document patient information, including vital signs, medical histories, and current medications.
- Support care coordination by communicating with patients regarding appointments, follow-up care, and health education.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.
- Follow established protocols and scope of practice to deliver safe and effective nursing care.
- Facilitate patient flow within the clinic to minimize wait times and enhance the patient experience.
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
- Prior experience in a primary care or outpatient clinic setting preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and electronic health record systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to act within the scope of practice and follow clinic protocols and safety standards.
