For this position, we anticipate an annual salary between $75,000 and $90,000. Final employment offers will be dependent upon the selected candidate’s relevant qualifications and experience.
JOB SUMMARY: The ALM Accountant will be responsible for managing ProfitStar to include downloading files, reconciling, identify and research out-of-balance conditions, maintaining and validating assumptions and preparing financials. This role will also be a crucial component in monthly forecasting and the annual budgeting process. Performs various clerical duties. Ensures that transactions meet GAAP audit and regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, as requested, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports (or as frequently as needed) for the Board of Directors, Asset Liability Committee, auditors and examiners, or management as to matters within this position’s role and responsibilities.
- Understand capabilities and provide support for all ProfitStar modeling. Thoroughly learn and understand monthly balancing of history, eliminations, consolidation, projections, and reporting.
- Assist with model validation efforts including timely completion, component assessment, and implement recommendations and responses to findings.
- Assist in preparation and complete input into ProfitStar for the annual budget.
- Prepare entries and assist in balancing various reports.
- Responsible for reconciliation of various general ledger and DDA accounts.
- Assist with and/or coordinate special projects as they arise.
- Maintain a solid understanding of all Federal and State Laws and Regulations, along with all Bank’s policies and procedures

- Maintain a solid understanding of all legal and regulatory compliance issues as they pertain to this position.
- Perform other duties as necessary for the efficient operations of the department and organization.
- Complete required training.
REQUIREMENTS
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Literacy in English.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time, twist, bend, sit, walk use hands to twist, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, such as computer mouse, computer keyboard, calculator, stapler, telephone, staple puller, etc., reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience in accounting and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Excel, banking core systems and interest rate/liquidity software (Fiserv and ProfitStar preferred).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with demonstrated abilities in collaboration and partnership, and a proactive, engaged, active learning demeanor that encourages innovation and change with positivity and enthusiasm to maximize collaboration, efficiencies, and productivity.
