Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient storage and distribution of products, leading warehouse staff, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, inventory management experience, and a background in warehouse logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations Oversight: Manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and implement inventory control measures.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff to ensure efficiency and adherence to best practices.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce warehouse safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Logistics Coordination: Work closely with production, procurement, and distribution teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Equipment & Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and proper use of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance warehouse efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize storage solutions.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, warehouse performance metrics, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 3+ years in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably in the agricultural or food production industry.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
- Ability to work in an industrial environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs and operating warehouse equipment.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills to address operational challenges.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, HACCP, and industry best practices.
Working Conditions:
- This role is primarily performed in a warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required depending on specific tasks.
