School Based Clinician

Are you a compassionate clinician who believes in the power of early intervention? BHcare is seeking a School-Based Clinician to provide high-quality, trauma-informed mental health services to students in grades K–12 at our school-based satellite sites.
This position will be based with Derby Middle and Derby High School
Who We Are
BHcare is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic offering wrap-around services for individuals and families facing mental health, substance use, and domestic violence challenges. Our school-based programs bring these critical services directly to students where they are—helping them succeed both academically and emotionally.
What You’ll Do
As a School-Based Clinician, you’ll:
• Serve as the primary therapist for a school-based caseload, conducting intakes, treatment planning, and individual or group therapy.
• Provide trauma screenings, rapid response evaluations, and ongoing clinical services to students in need.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions, including CBITS (Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools) and parenting programs like Circle of Security and Triple P.
• Collaborate closely with families, school staff, and community providers to ensure holistic, coordinated care.
• Participate in school hours (7:45 a.m.–2:25 p.m.) with two evening clinic shifts for parent sessions or parenting groups.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree in Social Work or related mental health field required.
- A minimum of one year experience in a psychiatric setting providing therapy to children and families.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft 365. Must be able to navigate through electronic health records system (EHR).
PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
- Professional CT Licensure required (LCSW highly preferred, will consider licensed eligible LMSW or other mental health license (e.g., LPC).
