Description
Position Title: EHR/EMR Analyst
Location: Orange Park Florida
Company: Coastal Health
Overview:
Coastal Health is seeking a detail-oriented EHR/EMR Analyst to support our Director of Health Information Technology. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on training, technical support, and assist with the implementation and maintenance of our Athena EHR and Practice Management systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide end-user and provider training on Athena EHR/PM software

Analyze workflows and identify process improvements

Support software updates, testing, and troubleshooting

Collaborate with vendors for system optimization and issue resolution

Develop and maintain training materials and documentation
-
Assist with reporting and data collection for clinical and administrative needs
Qualifications:
-
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health IT, Information Systems, or related field preferred

Experience: Minimum 2 years in a healthcare setting; experience with EHR/PM systems required

Licensure/Certification: EHR or IT system certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and healthcare compliance standards

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with Athena EHR/PM systems

Experience developing reports and supporting data-driven decision-making

Qualifications
Education and Experience
a) Knowledge and understanding of current trends and developments in health information technology as defined by healthcare reform, HITECH act and HIPAA security rules
b) At least 5-7 years experience in a healthcare setting
c) Current certifications in EHR or IT systems, or ability to become certified within 6 months of employment
Computer Skills
a) Knowledge of electronic health records principals; implementation or upgrade support a plus
b) Familiar with Citrix or other Virtual Desktops, Athena
c) Familiar with clinical data and financial reporting a plus

a) Ability to communicate effectively in writing, email and verbally to both high level and low level employees
b) Ability to effectively implement new policies and procedures
