This position supports the Treasurer’s Office by performing financial analysis, maintaining cash flow forecasting systems, and preparing compliance-related reports. Contributes to capital project monitoring and facilitates communication with internal and external stakeholders. Ensures accurate documentation and reporting to support Treasury operations and governance.
Responsibilities
Cash Forecasting & Liquidity Management
- Prepares short- and long-term cash flow forecasts to support investment and operational liquidity.
- Monitors daily cash balances and reconciles against forecasted activity.
- Develops forecasting models using historical and projected data.
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborates with University auxiliaries and Direct Support Organizations (DSOs) to gather data.
- Prepares documentation for leadership presentations to internal and external entities.
- Participates in process improvement initiatives across Treasury operations.
- Prepares materials and minutes for Investment Committee and Corporation Board meetings.
- Updates Treasurer's website to communicate accurate, relevant and timely information.
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintains organized records to ensure compliance with IRS, SEC, and bond agreements.
- Drafts financial reports for review internal and external stakeholders, including rating agencies and governing boards.
- Supports debt service tracking and covenant compliance reporting.
- Assists in developing and updating Treasury policies and procedures.
Project Monitoring
- Reviews payment requests, change orders, and agreements for capital projects.
- Compiles reports on project performance and fund balances.
- Prepares presentations and documentation for senior leadership and external partners.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or other field directly related to the position's specific responsibilities and 0-2 years of fiscal related work experience.
or a Bachelor's degree in no specific required field and two years of fiscal related work experience.
Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.
