Country Visions is a farmer owned cooperative. The agronomy division provides products, services, and knowledge for farmers to successfully grow crops in their fields.

The Agronomy Applicator Intern will be trained and mentored to use self-propelled equipment to make fertilizer and/or chemical applications to crops in farm fields during the growing season. In learning to be a Professional Applicator, you will receive crucial experience that could turn into a successful long-term career after the completion of the internship.

Applicator interns will learn to operate the machine, field computer, and electronic dispatching to ensure customer satisfaction of timely and accurate fertilizer & chemical applications. The Applicator Intern will also receive a hands-on experience in operations, maintenance on application equipment (CASE, RBR, RoGator), semi-trucks, and straight trucks.  Learning to drive straight and semi-trucks is also an option with a farm service CDL. 

A successful individual will be able to make accurate and timely applications, understand the products and the reason for them being applied, and communicate effectively with agronomists to ensure quality service for our customers.

The Agronomy Applicator Intern is expected to act as a promoter of Country Visions Cooperative in all customer and employee interactions as well as demonstrating a high quality of work in all tasks performed. Successful results could lead to a fulltime employment offer.

Pay Rate

The summer internship will last for a minimum of 90 days with a base pay of $17/hour +$1 for Farm Service CDL +$2 for WI Commercial Applicators license.

Qualifications


The qualified candidate must be attending a place of higher education and studying mechanics, precision agriculture, agronomy, or related field.

They must be willing to perform work in varying climates, indoors and outdoors and work extended hours during our busy season.

The qualified candidate must possess a valid Driver's License.

Must be able to obtain a Wisconsin Commercial Pesticide Applicator certification (Country Visions will help with the process and pay the cost to obtain).

Obtaining a farm service CDL license is encouraged (Country Visions will help with the process).
