Long-term Substitute - French Teacher (High School)
This position is for a long term substitute to cover a leave in Spring 2026 (tentatively beginning in March 2026 for up to 12 weeks).

Essential Functions:

• This position will assume the responsiblity for teaching the assigned High School French classes.  
• Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
• Designs learning activities to demonstrate the application of mathematics to everyday life, focusing on critical thinking skills, collaboration, and problem solving. 
• Maximizes assessment strategies to promote student learning and growth in all aspects of the curriculum.
• Collaborates with other professional staff members and participates in faculty meetings and committees.

Education and or Experience:

•   Missouri Teacher Certification in French 9-12 preferred
•   Substitute Certification* (minimal requirement)

Compensation: 

The daily rate for individuals with a substitute certification is $175/day.  There is a higher rate for certified, retired teachers.
